We live in a respectful and quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of great walking/running opportunities including some great elevations if you are into cardio.


We are within a 25-minute walking distance to Trione-Anadale State Park, Spring Lake Regional Park and Howarth City Park for lots of great hiking, kayaking (equipment available for rent lakeside), biking and fishing.


Due to the serene neighborhood, no events or parties are permitted on property.

Orientation

Located in the northeastern corner of rural Santa Rosa, the Guest House is in the heart of everything wine country. We are situated within easy driving distance of the region’s top destinations:

  • Sonoma Plaza: 25 minutes

  • Kenwood/Glen Ellen: 15 minutes

  • Calistoga & St. Helena (Napa Valley): 30-40 minutes

  • Healdsburg: 30 minutes

  • Sonoma Coast: 30-40 minutes

  • Downtown Santa Rosa: 10 minutes

  • Downtown San Francisco: 60-90 minutes

Sonoma County is home to more than 425 wineries, many of which are an easy drive from the Guest House. The Guest House is within an easy fifteen-minute drive of approximately twenty five wineries in the greater Santa Rosa, Kenwood, and Glen Ellen communities. These include highly revered producers such as:

Activities

Downtown Santa Rosa is home to a thriving brewery culture including the Russian River Brewing Company and its sought after “Pliney the Younger”.

West Sonoma county and the towns of Sebastapol and Petaluma are a 20-30 minute drive away and feature excellent dining, unique shopping, vintage/thrift shops, artisanal bakeries, some of the region’s finest dairies and cheese makers.

Calistoga (Napa) is also home to lovely spas and resorts like Solage and Four Seasons.

Some of northern California’s top biking and hiking destinations are only a few minutes drive from the Guest House. These include Hood Mountain Regional Park, Spring Lake Regional Park (seasonal boat rentals), Tione-Annadel State Park, Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, and historic Jack London State Park. Don’t miss out on a trip to the coast where daytime temperatures can be 20-30 degrees cooler than central Sonoma during the sunny, dry, warm summer months. Boating on nearby Lake Sonoma as well as paddling or tubing on the Russian River will round out your visit.

Nearby cultural activities include the state-of-the-art Green Center on the Sonoma State University campus and the Luther Burbank Center which present a wide array of offerings throughout the year. Be sure to catch a performance by the critically acclaimed Transcendence Theater Company if your schedule permits.
